Things to know
Participants begin their creations by building a body with wire, tin foil and hockey tape.
Wrap the body with fabric saturated with Paverpol, an environmentally friendly liquid that, when dry, makes fabric rock-hard. Tools and hands are simply washed in warm water.
The figure is posed either seated or reclining on a base. Once semi-dried, we dress and accessorize our creation.
Done! It's as easy as that. The entire process will take about 3 hours (some people are faster, some are slower.)

What to Bring
Instructor brings:
· Kit - Armature (body) (See kt contents below)
· Some Accessories
· Some hair blowers
· Rinse buckets
· Base – rock or wood
· Some aprons
· Gloves
What Students bring, wear, etc
Don’t wear good clothes. If the Paverpol gets onto your clothes, you will never get it out. Messy but FUN!
Don’t wear, or be prepared to take off, your jewelry – same as above
We will be socially distancing to meet current restrictions.
Bring masks
A container the size of a shoe box to take your finished piece home
Optional
·Pliers - handy but not required
You may prefer to bring your own apron
Hair blowers are shared. You may prefer to bring your own
Possibly a base
Accessories - see bottom of page
I provide instruction and all necessary and Paverpol supplies for you to complete a piece during a 3 hour session.
I will provide a base, but they can be attached to other surfaces provided by you. They will not attach to plastic or resin. I have had participants use deer antlers, old books, miniature metal chairs. I encourage participants to bring a base that personalize it. The figures are around 8” high.
Figures can be modified as your imagination allows.
These weather proof pieces make great garden and yard decorations. One visitor suggested a memorial piece for her husband’s grave marker. Perfect since they can be outdoors 24/7 once cured.
** Update: I now allow participants 8 - 14 if they have someone 15+ with them for the class. Either as a paid participant or just helping (not making their own piece.)
Cost is $55 per participant.
Examples:
Let me know when the class starts if you want to make a mermaid

Paverpol sticks to natural fabric, rocks, & metal but not to plastic or vinyl. I have some wooden gewgaws from the dollar store, but things from the yard also work well — pine cones, etc.

Facility provides:
Water for wash basins
Tables
Outlets for hair dryers. I have 10, but that might overload your circuits. We can share.
Rinse water is disposed of outside not down the drain – let me know if that’s not possible and I will bring a couple of discard pails.
